Polaris needed to integrate a new WMS with its ERP. Its old "one-to-one" connection architecture was inefficient and could not support the "near real-time" capabilities required by its new automated warehouse. The challenge was to achieve fast, comprehensive and seamless communication between all systems.
Our Operational Grid Layer was deployed on Azure to centralise, standardise and streamline communication between the SGA, the ERP and other systems using files, APIs and queues.
The platform handles more than 10,000 communications and 100 processes simultaneously, with a delay of less than 3 minutes. As a result, Polaris was able to align its systems and ensure the smooth running of the new logistics warehouse.

Luce has become a key technology partner for Polaris by successfully implementing its Operational Grid Layer (OGL) to orchestrate the critical systems of its new automated warehouse.
By creating a centralised hub in Azure and standardising data, they managed to decouple the new commercial SGA, the ERP and internal systems, eliminating the friction of the old ‘one-to-one’ connections and ensuring seamless, real-time communication.
"Luce’s team’s ability to understand the complexity of our operations has been key to developing an operational data layer tailored to our business. With the implementation of the operational data layer, we have ensured that our new warehouse operates seamlessly with the rest of our distribution network, and we are now well-prepared to handle higher operational volumes and strengthen our logistics services."
