The future of cybersecurity in AI. The CIBERLIA Project
At Luce IT we are celebrating, as we announce our participation in the CIBERLIA project, a pioneering initiative designed to transform the way we interact with artificial intelligence securely.
To understand the magnitude of this project, it is essential to highlight the framework in which it was born. Although we are the executors of this project individually, CIBERLIA is being developed within the ambitious RED ARGOS project (RETECH Program). This network is a strategic effort driven by the Institute for Business Competitiveness of Castile and León (ICECYL) and the National Cybersecurity Institute (INCIBE), and it features the participation of communities such as Castile and León, the Basque Country, and Andalusia to strengthen the national cybersecurity ecosystem.
What exactly is CIBERLIA?
Today, Generative Artificial Intelligence (LLM) offers incredible potential, but its implementation in regulated environments, such as public administration or the healthcare sector, is held back by security risks. This is where our project comes in.
CIBERLIA is not about creating a new virtual assistant, but about developing an innovative semantic cybersecurity, governance, and traceability layer that integrates on top of existing assistants (like our LIA). Its function is to act as an intelligent shield in every conversation: it evaluates user intentions to block manipulations (prompt injections), reviews generated responses to avoid hallucinations, anonymizes personal data in real-time, and ensures that the entire system complies with strict regulations such as the GDPR, the National Security Framework (ENS), and the future European AI Act.
Project funding and support
Making a technology that guarantees privacy and security by design a reality requires firm institutional support. This project is Co-funded by the EU, through European Funds, proving once again that Europe drives our growth. In addition, it has the support of the ERDF and is Funded by the EU #NextGenerationEU under the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.

Does CIBERLIA replace current chatbots?
No, CIBERLIA is not an assistant itself. It is a modular security layer that integrates around the conversational cycle of existing assistants to provide them with traceability, governance, and privacy.
How does it protect users’ personal data?
The project includes a specific engine called PII Guard, which detects and anonymizes personal and sensitive information (such as names or contact details) both in user questions and AI responses, strictly complying with the GDPR.
